After obtaining a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University, Beth jumped at the chance to start her career with BASF as a summer intern in Germany before joining the Professional Development Program with BASF in 1999.   Upon completing several assignments in the development program, she was placed into an Operations Engineer position in the Specialty Amines production unit in Geismar, Louisiana.  It was in this role Beth had her first opportunity to build a new plant from the ground up, which successfully began operations in June 2007.  As Technology Manager, she continued building chemical plants for BASF around the world while working in Germany, Belgium and China from 2007 through 2011.  She then moved into Wastewater Treatment & Specialty Acrylate production in West Memphis, Arkansas as the Site Director for three years before being named Vice President of Operations, Polymides and Precursors at the Verbund site at Freeport, Texas in 2015. After 7 years in Freeport, Beth moved into her current role as Vice President and Project Execution Owner for the MDI expansion project in Geismar, Louisiana, the largest BASF site in North America.

Julie Heinz began her career with ExxonMobil (Global Information Systems) in 2001. She has served in a number of technical and leadership positions in ExxonMobil IT, primarily in the Manufacturing space.  

In July 2017, she began her change management journey when she joined Digital Manufacturing (DM) as the IT Change Management Lead.  DM was a new venture focused on enabling our Manufacturing business to have step-change improvements in performance through the use of technology.

Previous to that, Julie had various technical leadership roles supporting Manufacturing IT globally.
She is located at our Baton Rouge Refinery and has been officed at four different manufacturing sites in Baton Rouge over the years.  This colocation with the business has been a huge influence on the importance she places on IT’s role as a key enabler and partner for the business.  

The success of the DM model for change management led to Julie starting the Fuels, Lubes and Chemicals IT (FLCIT) Change Management team in October 2019.  She supervised the organization and was focused on providing change management services to the FLCIT portfolio and building change management competencies in our IT and business associates.  

In 2021, Julie established ExxonMobil’s first global Change Management Office (CMO), which she currently leads.  As the CMO Manager, she is a champion for change management – focusing on the people side of change to ensure we have successful adoption of change for sustained business results.  She sets change management strategies for the corporation, maintains a thriving change management community, and leads talent management for people in our change roles, while working on some of the largest most challenging initiatives for the company. 

She received her MBA and undergraduate degree in Information Systems from Louisiana State University. She is married to her college sweet heart and has three fun-loving, active sons. 

As a native of New Orleans, Julie is all about faith, family, food, and fun.  She enjoys spending time with friends and family, eating yummy Louisiana food, travelling, movie nights with her boys, entertaining in her home, building deep relationships with her colleagues, and dancing every chance she can get!
