Working in today’s industrial space is a lot like playing a team sport, says Art Powers, ExxonMobil’s principal for Emergency Preparedness & Response in Irving, Texas. In both environments, there’s a common desire to accurately simulate “game time” conditions during practice.

Industry technology leaders from multiple Louisiana-based manufacturing companies are hosting a two-day event. Exxon Mobil presents Tec-Next. According to their website, the event’s purpose is to “gather experts from industry and technology for a high value, “TED” conference-like gathering. Local, national, & global leaders from the chemical and petrochemical manufacturing industry and technology leaders will share what they are developing and installing currently as new technology-driven tools and processes.” Stephanie Cargile and Connie Fabre are here to talk about the event.

A two-day conference, bringing together industry and technology leaders in Baton Rouge to explore future partnerships, is coming to the Shaw Center on Oct. 3 and 4.

Show host, Tim Johnson, talks Tec>>Next 2019 with Baton Rouge Chamber CEO Adam Knapp and ExxonMobil’s Coila LaFleur.

Ken Miller and Cody Lubier talk about the inaugural TEC Next conference coming to Baton Rouge on Oct. 3 – 4. Ken says this conference will bring together the local manufacturing chemical refining companies with the technology companies that are dealing with digital manufacturing to make the overall manufacturing process more effective. They explain how virtual reality is one of the major technology aspects being used, allowing a person in training to be placed in a realistic environment without the actual dangers.  Cody then explains how advanced the technology is and the importance of it.
